On August 13, 1979, Sigel Volunteer Fire Department, Ward 2, was organized. We are a sister company of Sigel Volunteer Fire Department, Station 19. We are a small, rural fire department located in Millstone Township, Elk County, but we are dispatched through Jefferson County as Sigel Volunteer Fire Department, Ward 2, Station 14. We have a coverage area of approximately 100 square miles, including mutual aid with local surrounding fire departments located in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest. We provide fire and rescue protection to Millstone Township, Elk County; Heath Township, Jefferson County.
